Default 6.4 inconsistancy

P2263 is the code and turbo/supercharger system performance is the game....started doing this bout 2 months ago and at one point i just let the truck sit for two weeks till i could get my hands on a dpf/doc delete and tunes from RCD....the truck runs real good for the first few miles then seems to back-down...weird, i thought for sure that the dpf delete would fix all my problems..................any sugestions??

got it figured out late last night that by taking off the stacked edge juice w/attitude, that the truck seems to run great...lots of power, and smoke.....those guys at RCD are awesome!!!

actually looks like i jumped the gun allittle on that previous statement...ran fine last night and it ran pretty darn good for the first few miles today then back to the same old crap.........it really feels like the EGR valve is malfunctioning, i have it turned off, and im sure it was off when i tuned the truck..could it maybe be opening on its own, or maybe the truck is going into a limp mode, but it threw not one code this time...........i dont know, its a real head scratcher

have you tried reloading the RCD tunes since you removed the edge?

heck ya,i will try it for sure.....it is a SCT livewire that is downloaded with custom tunes from River City, and that could very well be the case beens how the edge module is hardwired into the factory pcm plug and when the key is on so is the edge...... like you said, its worth a try...

well i re-tuned the truck with the RCD tunes only.....ill drive it tomorro

thanks alot.....ill post my findings tomorro

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

no change...contacted SCT, and they said they would get back to me but at this point it looks like a mechanical problem...however, they did say to tune the truck w just the trans tune to see if the tuning is the problem and it wasent...now it is even worse.....lots of lag and no poop at all......it did throw 3 codes today though( U0115, and U0100 ) which RCD tells me are lost comm. codes w/ECM-PCM both a&b. anyone with any ideas???

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I do think that its a combo of things beginning with the EGR valve, the other is this so called limp mode..........the problem is what is triggering all of it, with the EGR turned off with a tune the truck runs alot better but will still limp out, and with the EGR on it will limp out too, only it seems alot worse beens how there working together to kill performance.....really stumped here (and really dont want to take it in)

ok, the word is to return the truck to stock and take it in....my question is, does anyonw have a OEM air intake, and OEM filter-back exhuast??? mine were thrown away.

If you're so certain it's the EGR valve, unplug it and drive it. Ignore the codes.

Where are you located?
