P0703 should be the brake switch circuit. Have a trusty worthy friend check your brake lights as you hit the pedal to see if they at least work, check fuses for any blown, and if blown check wiring for shorts to ground. and last check the brake pedal switch under your foot.

Heck , the cruise control is canceled out if you hit the brake pedal.. maybe it is that switch and it's grounding out some how.

yea clear the code should be okay. mine did the same thing.

there is a water separator under the driver side that should be cleaned out whenever you change your oil. its an issue for some people/
