too much trouble going on around all this new emission crap

 

and people wonder why i like 12v p pump motors so much

 

its probably the best diesel motor ever made regarding performance

 

HI BLACK 06, I don't need all the hassle with DPF, BAD MPG, ISSUE with engine trouble from the 6.4

 

nah i dont either id be really leary about buying any of the new trucks from any of the big three. the only way they dont get **** mleage is to remove the emissiions crap. and i have absolutley no problem with that the only problem is is if that thing goes down your lookin at a 5 figure bill OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH that one is gonna feel worse than a little pinch

 

so on friday august 15th
2 1/2 months after the motor went in my truck
Ford finaly decided that they would put a new long block in my truck
the sent the oil out to be tested and this and that
turns out the oil filter seperated and then the oil pump quit
ford wanted to send a short block but the shop manager fought to have a long block because he was to worried about the amount of metal that went flying around inside the motor
its going to be a week to get the motor here and another week to get it in the truck and running
so 3 months to warranty a motor

a ford guy i know around here gave me a number i will be calling as soon as i have the truck back in my possession

3 months to me = 3 truck payments of 1280 a month and roughly 20,000 in revenue each month

can ya tell im pissed?

 

damn that sucks bad man. especially with the 1280 dollar a month payment. what the hell took so long??

it took so long because diesel techs are in short supply
and good disel techs and even fewer between
faxed them the maintinence records like they asked for and half of them didnt get there
and nodoby told me they didnt get there
diesel tech went on vacation
ford wanted an oil sample done
got asked why my services were never done at ford. which i told them it takes 2 weeks to
book an appointment and its freakin expensive
all the dodge dealerships have drive through oilchanges here
and then i had my mechanic start doing them because it was just more cost effective

 

so it comes up the labour day long weekend and i get a call a few days before that my truck is done
its got a shiney new 6.4 top to bottom

truck is 1200 km away and i got to go get it on a long weekend where a bunch of family happens to live
so i rent this little rocket of a rental car 2008 nissan altima zooooom down to the coast i go
go to chilliwack to pick up my truck get it all signed out
and paid for the 2 brand new batteries that completely died in the 3 months the truck has been sitting there.
so im driving to one of my uncles and just as i get there about 30 km
the oil light comes on
so i stop check and make sure they put oil in it... and its up and all clean
so i drove the few blocks to my uncles place
phone up the dealership and talk to the tech

i said ok i got to drive this truck 30 km and the oil light is on
you make the choice if i drive it back or if your going to tow it back cuz im not paying for a new motor that goes bad in one day
tech says i dont wanna make that call to which i responded well it isnt moving another inch till you decide
he phones some powers that be and told me to drive it back.

so they cant do nothing with it till tuesday morning because the tech who actually put the motor in so i said i will be here when the doors open

tuesday morning im there at 7:20 just before they open
the tech took the old sending unit cleaned it all up and put it in and we went for a test drive.... no oil light....right on
so the tech is showing me this fancy new T they have put in to stop the radiators from blowing up and notices that the coolant is low... must have burped he says
i know this can happen so ok. he goes to get some coolant and im thinkin to myself what is that growing puddle underneath
it pissing coolant out of the back of the motor somehwere so i go and point it out to him
oh he says i musta left a hoseclamp loose i can fix that right away
ok happens and things get missed im thinkin.
so 11:30 rolls around and i go looking for the tech
what the hell is happening with my truck....
well i was fixin this broken hose and found another problem.
ok i say is it going to be a 5 minite fix or a 5 hr fix which he says if its what i think it is its a 5 hr fix. so into the warranty guys office i go
now im mad
i said find out when my truck is going to be done because ive got to go i have a business to run and your already cutting into my wednesday.
he comes back shortly and says its going to be a few hours
i said ok fix the thing right and ship it to me bye!
they didnt get it fixed till friday
and today all they would do is go half the transport back to me even though i already paid once to come and get the truck
so i have an appointment with my lawer coming up
rant off.......for now
