Default Egr clogged

I was reading some of the other forums and people were saying that if you are seeing bad fuel mpg when deleted and tuned to check the egr valve, it may be clogged. Has any one got any info on this or how its done and if its hard.

if its clogged and hung open yes if its clogged and stuck shut it help your mpg and egt temps.. what tunner are you using? i kniw that spartan only uses egr at idle and on the 250+ tunes its shut off all the time.

i am using the spartan 300 tune. Im just trying to figure out this mpg thing i did a test the other day and drove as lightly as i could set the cruise at 55 on flat land to see what kind of mpg i could get hand calculated 100 miles later and only got 14.5 i figure with the mods if got i should at least see 17 running that easy on it. Im just hoping maybe its something small i can fix easy.
