Default Axle Seal

Ok was under the truck doing a visual lookaround and seen this hanging. Same on the other side of the axle. Both are cracked but intact and will not stay in the axle tube at all

Wow, nice, but doesn't take anytime at all to replace.

It's a dust seal...no real issue. There is an updated seal from what I understand.

As just an around town or highway daily driver, it should be fine, but if you're OCD like me, then it wouldn't hurt replacing.

Anyone have a write up on how to replace them, or care to describe them. I don't think I've seen a 6.0 that has both of them in tact. I know at least one of mine is off.

These are just seals to keep crap out of tube and protect actual axle seals from getting messed up. Thats when you have a problem. To replace dust seals just need to pull axle like doing ball joints. To replace axle seals you have to pull differential gears.
