Fortunately, I've never had to do one... but I'm sure Bob will be along at some point today and help you out.

Well i finally had time to look at it again. Everything looks straight forward. It looks like you pull the outer gear off first then the inner but the problem is were do i pull it from LOL.hopefully someone will give me some direction on were to go.

Look at the new gears you got, did they come with a new wear ring for the crank? I haven't done one of these but I know at least on earlier models there is a wear ring that has to b e cut off or pulled off if you have the $800 dollar tool to do it, maybe a youtube search. you might have to rock the crank back and forth a little bit to get the gears to relax just right. I will search YT and post if I find it

its a 03 f350 i havent gotten the new gears yet from what i see i dont see any rings around it.There is a opening on the side that looks like maybe you could pry the outer gear off first.

pretty sure you are going to have a wear ring, it will prevent you from pulling the inner gear off, read where it can be cut with a hacksaw blade most of the way then popped with a chisel. wait till you get the new gears before you attemp any of this, make sure it has the wear ring with it, if it does then we can address it when the parts arrived.

Awesome to hear... sounds like it was relatively easy to swap once you knew what needed to be done. That's always good!
