Default egr valve?

Ok so i have had the egr deleted on my 06 for about a year now. I was installing my banks intake and up pipe and looked at the egr valve and it had a lot of buildup of what looked like oil on it. I dont loose any oil or coolant. What do yall think this could be? It wasnt wet like coolant wet just a bunch of what looked like old coolant build up. And i dont remember if we cleaned the valve when we put it back in or not. Any info would be great.

Did you pull the valve out?? You can't see the valve itself when you pull the elbow off, what you see is a boss that the EGR valve sits in. The oil you see is normal, it is coming from your crankcase vent tube that goes into the intake before the turbo, all 6.0 will have oil in the entire intake trac unless modified to rerout the vent tube.

Oh thank god. I most deffinitly did not clean the boss thingy when we did the egr. . And what you said just kinda clicked in my head. I just did the ccv mod about 4 months ago and drained in about 2 weeks ago. holy crap a bunch of oil came out. well about 1/8 of a solo cup but dang i thought it would only be a few drops.
