Why does it need to be reprogrammed???

As for your keys, are you talking about the key fobs? They're sillly easy to reprogram, I can look it up for you if you want it.

Great job man! I bet it's got to be a relief getting so close.

Well from what I was told if your batteries are disconnected for a long time that the car has to be reprogrammed because the Comp. will set a theft code from the key not being recognized any longer. HENCE that is why the CS sensor was not showing up. So reprogram tonight and will get back

I've never heard of that before... amazing. I bet it's just a security thing and I'd be willing to bet you can monkey with it using AE. I will find out, my AE should be here today.

What is an AE?

I decided against the EGR delete, just because of the cost. I will just change my coolant every 6 months for the first year and once a yr after.Maybe get a coolant filter kit later , when I can afford one. This has put me through the ringer financially.

I was to tired after work yesterday and did not finish the flushing and the couple of odds and ends. I need a new battery cover or insulation thing. Those really help keep the engine heat off the battery.

I would definitely try and get a coolant filter on there ASAP. The cost of coolant flushes will soon outweigh the cost of the filter setup.

AE is short for AutoEnginuity. I just ordered AE with the enhanced Ford bundle, which allows us to do some pretty amazing trouble shooting/testing with a laptop and this software. It ran me $360 shipped. Worth it's weight in gold!

Nice to have that equipment. I use the dealerships laptop it works pretty good.It is free and there coolant also. Yea I am going to flush the crap out of it for the first yr. then every 6 months and see what happens. Excursion runs really good, I spun the tires going around a corner , it never did that before.

Sticking with the Ford Gold coolant then? I thought about running it just to prove a point. Still using it now on my original oil cooler, @ 106k miles. Never been "flushed" but definitely pushed enough to have to refill it quite a few times .
