Yeah, you can get them on Ebay for alot less but I needed it now, got the rad out and motor pulled and 1 head allready done working on the otherone now so we can reinstall tomorrow, kinda helped having a freshly machined set of heads ready to go.

I bought a tool from Snapon that is made specifically for this. Has the big and small size disconnect on the same tool. Paid $12 for it and it is guaranteed for life.

yeah, he didn't have the individual one on the truck, I do alot of work on other stuff too so it is nice to be able to work on stuff I haven't been able to do before, like changing fuel filters for people and AC work too.

Here's a tool that I know works.

Buy.com - 1/2" Oil Cooler Line Rmvr Ford Trks 6.0L

I bought at least 5 tools some of them the scissor type like the one you showed.
None of them worked. The problem is with the bulge in the line. If the tool does not have a step in it to account for this bulge it won't work.
