Default What type of axle do I have?

I am replacing the rear axle hub bearings, and the parts house lists two different inside bearing seals, because it lists the possibility of two different rear ends, a 10.5 or a Spicer rear, I have a 2006 f350 fx4 4x4, and it isn't a dually, and it has a 3.73 axle. Is there a certain number in the vin,or outside trait, or does the Spicer come on duallies? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Your truck has the 10.5 axle. The DRW trucks run the Dana 80 rear.

Wikipedia!?! I was told in college that using it as a reference on a research paper would be an instant "F"! Anyone can post and it doesn't have to be legitimate information.

Though I have heard this statement before, that is just ridiculous. Everyone is a teacher in some way. I learn from forums every day. Some of the teachers I had in college were there to teach, but could have very easily been doing other things, making way more money.

Never listen to teachers? How did you learn anything ever?

Sharing info from personal experience is different from being a teacher.

At 17, i could school the auto shop teacher. He had no real time in a shop. he was a licensed mechanic from passing all the tests, but it was all from books.

I learned from watching, reading and doing it myself.

Some people learn differently. I learn best by cutting out the BS. And most teachers, not all, are full of chit.

Ok, I get what you're saying. I definitely had some teachers like that as well, but not all of them were that way.
