If I was getting 13 I'd be happy!!!

Yes the two batteries are brand new.
I'll do some more testing on the ficm first.

But it's still doing the 2 stroke thing... Could the injectors be sticking that bad? But not throwing a code?

I'm wondering if I have a bad intercooler? How can I tell? Or would the symptoms be worse?

I'll have to double check the tire size on AE, I'm pretty sure they came out to be a 32.5 bc 33 was too big.

Thanks guys you are awesome!!

-going 100mph 5+ times
-doing 15 WOT's
-driving around town
-being stuck in mud, reving the F*%k outa it trying to get out
-leaving it idle for a total of 5 hours to keep my girlfriend warm

The only thing that I can see to save you mileage would be buying her a blanket!

Yes, verify speed via GPS, that will make a world of difference when calculating mileage.

Sticky injectors wont throw any codes. The only time I've EVER had an injector code is when an injector literally just stopped working all together. Running on 7 cylinders it threw a code.

A bad intercooler? Well they don't really go "bad" they can blow apart and get cracks, and you know it if it did that. The truck would be unbearable to drive. No boost, poor performance, lots of black smoke, all sorts of noises under the hood.

I really think we need to try a FICM on it, to at the least eliminate this.

Synthetic oil would probably help too, and you're already running Rev-X right? At this point, if a FICM doesn't cure it, injector replacement sounds almost inevitable. Probably only one or two of them.

He didn't specify what "girlfriend" meant... is this a real walking talking girl, or is this the truck? I've left my truck running for hours on end to keep her warm too.... haha.

Ok well I'm trying to locate a spare ficm that I can have sent to swamps and have it redone and while it's there I mine as well do the 58v upgrade... So if anyone has one or finds one let me know.

Mine is the early 04 7 pin, will a 4 pin work or would I need a new harness?

Yes I am running the rev-x and it helped a little, I guess I'll try the synthetic but I got like 4,000 miles to go!!!

Are the valvoline filters any good to use? I'm wondering if that's the problem? All my friends with 6.0's get there oil done there and never had a problem...

Any year FICM will work on any year truck. I only know how to turn 4pins into 58V units though, I'm sure it's possible on the 7 pins, just never really researched it enough.

I wouldn't use ANYTHING other than Motorcraft or FRAM oil filters in a 6.0 (only say FRAM for this, because they're the exact same as the motorcraft for this application. I'd normally NEVER recommend a Fram for any other application). Did that filter come with it's own cap?

No it's the original cap for the filter... Can I just switch out the filter?

Ok so the 4 pin will work cool
