lie-o-meter and transmission
well i did my fuel up today and after 242 miles it took 27.5 gallons (filler to were i can see it) so thats average of 8.8mpg!!! and my lie-o-meter was saying the same thing!!!
i just ordered my AE today and waiting to get it to check some things out.
i was running my edge evolution programmer on the highest setting for the whole tank to see what it was doing... so today i put it back to stock and i noticed on my way home from work my tranny slip a couple times i think from 2-3 or 3-4... its starting to scare me so im hopeing that it is just a relearn b/c the programmer resests the ecm and tcm when i change the levels... does anyone have any advice? im not sure about the tranny services and what has been done to it. and im scared to change the fluid and filters bc ive read a few threads about it and the tranny craps out after the change???
any words of advice?

It could just be a re-learn, but it still shouldn't really slip. You can pro-long failure by getting a gogo direct solenoid, it's $150. You can also help remedy this by getting rid of the Edge and getting some good custom tuning. I bet the minor slip you're feeling now will go away.
8.8mpg is straight awful. Something is definitely wrong there.

Dirty trans filters can cause the "slip" too, or a couple quarts low will do the same thing. I notice that the trans feels alot better after fresh fluid and filters, make sure to change both of them.
Are you hauling full time or something to get that mileage? I get my best mileage on the higher settings with my Edge, I run full time on level 4 which is Race, only put it on 5 Extreme at strategic times LOL.

I it is my dd back an forth to work... And it's city driving!!! I bought the truck bc I'm getting a toy hauler for my sleds... But the truck runs fine when I have it on level 4 on my edge... Ever since I hard the cold start issues it don't seem right? I put the rev x in it and it cleared it up almost 90% but it still runs a little roughy at first but it starts fine now... It has 305 for tires but I should be doing way better than that... I can't wait to get my AE to figure it out. I also noticed today when I put it back to stock I'd seemed like it had a miss? But no codes or cel? And it was up to 190* and when I would get on it you can deffinetly tell something ain't right?
But as usual I just dropped $1,000 on some stuff today and it starts to act up!!! I want to get a better tuner but I don't have the money right now so I was just going to use the edge as a pid, so I got the fuel pressure gauge coolant filter and the AE with ford bundle.

Because the Edge has power settings I don't know that it should be used with say an SCT. My trans was acting up in the 3-5 shift and it went away when I took the Edge off and left both batteries off for about 22hrs. However, when I did a return to stock with my SCT, there it was again. Was it the Edge, is my trans control messed up (kinda doubt that since it responds to SCT tunes). Anyway, I wouldn't you an Edge with power settings (even in zero/stock) in conjunction with an SCT.

Yea it sucks bad!!! I'm leaning towards a bad injector or ficm... Two brand new batteries and it tested 48 all three test... (but that was a few weeks ago) so I'll test it again until I get the AE

Well drove to work this morning and when it shifts from 3-4 there was a slight slip... I noticed when I put it back to stock it doesn't shift hard at all kind of like it slides into gear... (all the gears) but when I have it on a different power level in the morning it will slam into gear( which is good I think)

It's actually shifting from 3-5 (depending on how warm it was), which is when the direct clutches are coming on. Try the GoGo direct solenoid. A better tuner would do wonders too. Slamming into gear isn't good either, usually the trans will slam gears when the truck knows something is wrong and it wants to "save" itself. Smooth quick shifts, that are firm are good, but not a "slam.".
