Default Diesel smell

Hey guys, I am getting a strong smell of fuel in the cab, windows up, I can smell it at idle. When on start to go the smell goes away. I have the egr delete, arp studs, sct tuner, recently did the blue spring upgrade and a fuel pressure gauge install also a cfm intake manifold. I have checked around the fuel filter housing and im not seeing any fuel leaking? I only replaced the big key looking ring when I did the spring. Any ideas of what it could be? I also did a exhaust temp gauge so I drilled that exhaust manifold but I have the temp sender in there so that should be sealed.

Because you didn't spell it out, is it fluid/mechanical gauge or electric fuel pressure gauge? I put in a sending unit near where the spring goes, didn't tighten it enough because I over torqued/cracked housing the first time and it took to leaking, but I didn't smell it in the cab. In fact, at first it was a speratic leak, as in near impossible to spot. I would suggest to actually check with tools that everything is tight around the fuel filter area.

its an electric sending unit and its a raw smell. I looked with the truck running at idle today and couldnt see anything actually couldnt smell it as strong outside the cab. I will check again tomo but its a guessing game right now

I had the same fuel smell coming into my truck a few months back. Took it to Ford since it was still under warranty at the time. They found that the fuel pressure regulator O ring was bad. Fixed and no more smell.

Well I found the leak its coming from the gauge sending unit. That oring must be bad in there. I can see a nice little spray coming out. I also just installed this and the blue spring. Truck has stock injectors I am getting a reading of around 80. Is that to high? Gauge bad?

80 is high. Not normal. What gauge is it?
