Default Need some advice. Getting irritated lol.

03 F250 6.0L, CC, SB, FX4, 4x4. 125,700 miles. I changed batteries two days ago cause they were DONE. FICM reads 47.9 koeo, 48.3 cranking, 3.4-4.7 running. i know its shot also. but my other concern is i changed out the fuel filters with Motorcraft last night and pulled out the EGR valve and it was DIRTY. i looked down in the hole and it was filled up with soot. not to the top but enough to worry me. cleaned up what i could. put everything together. started driving it back home from my shop and whenever i romped it i could hear a really high pitch whine. was about 1-2 seconds after the turbo was already spooling. got louder with rpm increase. but when i got home i had the wife come out and rev it and i climbed under the hood looking and listening and never heard it. only came on when it was driving down the road. any clues? i am completely lost right now with it. i would definitly appreciate any help i can get. this is my first diesel. i'm thinking about paying 2400 for a warranty and just sending her in for everything i find. especially with the rep. but if i can manage to do it myself without any problems then i want to stay away. its a 4 yr 75,000 mile and covers engine, transmission, drivetrain, electric, cooling, a/c, fuel and delivery, and some other stuff. i'm active duty Air Force and just don't quite have the big paycheck to constantly put parts in this thing.

The high pitch whine I'll almost guarantee is a cracked up-pipe... not terribly uncommon. I've had this before too. They crack in the bellows. Crummy design.

I can not believe your FICM is actually that low in voltage. Sending you a PM.

. oh don't worry bud. i love my truck. just wanna get the kinks out of it. i got it to be a hauler and daily driver. i live in New Mexico for the Air Force and am from Michigan so i am using it to tow my mustang back home whenever i go for dragging and the family to see and appreciate. i can do everything to a gas motor but diesel is a different story. My mustang is a 1988 GT Hatchback. 347 stroker, GT40 heads, roller rockers, holley high rise intake, holley 850 double pump carb, msd everything for ignition, custom interior i've done, 4 point harnesses, B&M ratchet shifter, 60% of the car is fiberglass, stalker 2 front bumper, gtx sideskirts and rear bumper, 3'' cowl hood, D1 fenders, saleen wing, AOD automatic (heavy duty), trans brake, 8.8 rear with 3.73, led tails, projector headlights, cobra r rims, flame thrower kit, x pipe, flowmasters, short tube headers, shaved door handle kit. . about all.

MIKE if you could hit me up at 740-818-7604 i would GREATLY APPRECIATE it. i have a couple questions and for some reason i can't pm you. My name is Ryan. text or call works.

i'm not sure what boost it is. sorry. i don't have anything to tell me. i can say around 2000 rpms and up though. never hissed when starting. just when romping in drive. park and revving heard nothing.
