So with my application I am doing the same thing using an 04 block for rebuild for my 06. I had a lifter give out, will that deadline my heads? Also you mentioned adapters for the difference in dowel pin size where and how? With putting on the newer style hpop into the 04 block i know i am gonna have to reuse my 06 heads or at least retrofit the 04 heads. Can I just pull them off my old black and slap them on the new one? So many questions i know but its my first time doing this

 

The shop I work at is working on retro fitting the early model 6.0 pumps into the 05+ trucks so you can run modded pumps in the newer motors. We have a spare engine for Mach up

 

In the process of putting the later pump on a 03 I just bought. Engine is out and found 20mm heads, later hpop with cover, Stan pipes, hpo rails. This is a very simple swap. Blocks are the same there is no special parts required. Only lengthening your icp sensor harness to the passenger side valve cover.

 

Hey bigred91 did the shop you worked at ever get this figured out? Also curious if the retro fit was made to install the older style pumps to the newer style branch tube? Maybe by welding the upgraded STC fitting to the early style hpop output tube?
