Default FICM Test

06 6.0 PSD Automatic

Opened up the box and my 4 screws are up and down not right to left. Is it the bottom screw to use for the test?

Up and down? They should run side to side of the truck, not front to back. If you have 4 pins, test the one closest to the drivers side. Red probe on that screw, black probe on the negative terminal on the battery.

Take a picture please. I'm not sure what you mean by up and down. The FICM is mounted on the valve cover, so it sits at a bit of an angle. The pins run from side to side of the truck, in line. The one you need is the one closest to the drivers side.

The rusty washers are to the FRONT of the driver's side valve cover - the screws are staged up and down

Starts hard and runs rough until it warms up.

If plugged in starts ok but still runs rough until it warms up.
