Mine wont really spin the tires stock either, not even the whimply 265's that came on it. They're basically turds until you tune them, then they're 8k lb rocket ships.

Judging by your fuel filters, you're no where near 91k, but they are definitely way past due. Typically the top one isn't very dirty because the one down lower catches most of the crud. Post a pic of that one too, that will definitely help you mileage. Pull that EGR valve too and clean it, I bet that's clogged right up as well. All of which will certainly help you in the mileage department.

I too would straight pipe it. Muffler and Cat deletes can be had for around $130 or something in that neighborhood for both.

Buy a duramax if you like fixing transmissions! Yeaahhhhh. I like towing with my 6.0 far more than with a 7.3. Ford has never really been known for their mileage. They're typically heavier. 22mpg? Really?

x2, you also forgot about the shitty injectors and harnesses, my uncle owns one and NEVER got better than 16mpg. he has spent so much on that truck that he wants to sell it and buy a gasser. SO if you dont have any helpful words, STAY IN THE D-MAX SECTION..........Thanks HOGGY

The injector issue was more common on the LB7's, so the older trucks. LLY's had issues with overheating... LBZ were pretty good trucks, except for pistons cracking randomly. Let's not forget almost all of them had cranks break for no reason either. The newer one's are pretty nice, but again you've got to deal with all the emissions stuff too. I would rock an LBZ if they came with straight axles. In fact that's probably what I would have bought before I got this, IF it had a straight axle.

Is there a product that the local auto store will have that I can pour into the tank or some other method that will help clean the injectors a little? Cause judging by the filters I'm sure some junk has made it past them and are plugging up the injectors a bit. I got a bottle of sea foam and i read these instructions on the internet on how to properly do it on a diesel. Claimes to remove fuel filter cap and pour 2qt. Into the filter housing put cap back on and run for 5 min... After taking that cap off I could only pour in about 1/8 of the bottle if I had to pour two quarts into that little space I'd be there all day considering one bottle is only one quart... Either I misunderstood something or the guy who wrote that "how to" is smoking crack
