Default Tow Haul Mode

I drove my buddies 06 F-350 King Ranch the other day with his stock trailer on and he asked if I was using the tow haul mode and I said no, and then switched it on. The problem was I couldnt really tell a difference? What exactly does the Tow haul mode do for the truck?

Tow/Haul will shift up slower and downshift faster than when not in tow/haul to help get moving and also to slow down. It does work. Hope this makes sense.

It will rev up higher in tow mode and change the shift points to a higher RPM so make the engine work not as hard to move keep the wright moving, and Locks up the torque converter sooner. And it helps a lot when braking because it will down shift much sooner than usual uses the engine/transmission to help slow down so it is easier on the brakes.

Ditto to what they said, and a lot of times, it keeps your OD from being engaged so that it won't burn up from constant up and down shifting...

The Tow ? Haul mode increases the line pressure of the transmission for a more firm shift, th PCM spreads out the shift points so you runn the gears out at higher revs.

I have a 2003 F350 KR dually and I love the TH mode, the only thing that I have a problem with is the truck will downshift the transmission at times when I don't want it to slow down and the revs junp way up. This the closest thing to a jake brake.

I Notice The Tow Haul Prolongs The Shifting - Keeping The RPMs Up Longer.. On My Buddies 6.0 It Really Does Help Slow The Truck Down.
