Yeah that's what I am not sure the starting is either ficm or injector but I'm not sure about the coolant temp raising

Do you have any coolant leaks?

I agree w/ the FICM or injector regarding the white smoke.

As far as the coolant temperature rising goes:
Could be a bad ECT sensor.
Could be a thermostat issue.
Could be a water pump issue.

Are you sure that the radiator fins and the fins on all of the other grill mounted heat exchangers are clean and not clogged?

If you bought a scangaugeII, you can get the actual coolant temperature readings (along w/ a WHOLE LOT more useful troubleshooting info).

I just got a new radiator about 7000 miles ago and the water pump and clutch fan were replaced 2000 miles ago. Where can I get a scan gauge at and all the fins look good.

Autozone sells the scangaugeII - it will need to be programmed specifically for the Ford readings. BulletProofDiesel sells the scangauge already programmed. The cheapest place I have seen the scangauge is cleanmpg.com. Post on their forum and you can get a group buy price of $135 shipped.

What condition was the front cover in when you replaced the water pump?

The oil temperature sensor is the same as the coolant sensor if you want to swap them and see if you get the same indicated coolant temperature rise.

Well I figured out the problem I talked to eric from innovative last saturday and he told me to try and unplug the egr because I don't a blockoff plate on the egr valve. And it fixed the problem. Thanks everyone for all your input on the subject.
