kd8dzh,

Your last post said you wondered why it didn't leak out on the ground. The reason is because the HPOP is completely contained inside the motor. If it leaks the oil just runs down into your oil pan.

I was able to pull my HPOP out yesterday. I can't tell whether the thing leaks or not, but I can say that it certainly looks like it would. The fitting looks like an air chuck fitting, only larger. There's a black plastic sleeve that slides back and forth. I'm going to feel better knowing that this fitting is no longer present on my truck. The replacement branch tube connector doesn't have this fitting any more. It's a solid pipe, now.
The HPOP is back in the truck now.

HMMMM replaced the fitting for the left side high pressure oil line/hose (at the hpop) about six months ago. Didn't know there is a different line and fitting assembly that was available. strange the oil wou;ld leak really bad even at cold start yet it did'nt give me any problems starting. But I did catch the leak quickly as it left a huge puddle under the truck and a lot of oil in the valley. Sure did not like the way the plastic sleeve is used to release the line/hose. Where do you get the up-graded fittings and hoses?

Toby,

I bought the entire kit for the dummy plugs and stand-pipes from Tousley Ford. It comes with 2 stand-pipe and 2 dummy plugs; enough to do all of them. This cost me $105 plus shipping. I had a quote from the local dealer of $197 on this.....(ouch...no way!)

I bought the STC fitting kit from the local Ford Dealer, who I'm sure raped me. I don't have the receipt with me, but I think it was about $140.....I'll correct that number with another post when I get home from work (that's where the receipt is).

I would recommend you call Tousley Ford and tell them you want to do an Internet sale. This just means that you got a referral from the internet. If you tell them this, they give you really good pricing. Their parts number is: 1-800-328-9552

Another option is Sunrise Ford out of Cali, they're a site sponsor on powerstrokearmy.com and give some really good deals, probably similar to Tousley as well. I'm sure either will hook you up.

Bustedknuckles, get those part numbers and PM them to me, I'm going to start a big spreadsheet of common 6.0 P/n's for here.

Yes, test the FICM. It's often thought weak and dying batteries will speed up the death of a FICM.

Default tousley ford alternative

Tousley Ford has great pricing but i thought I'd share performance machine and manufacturing who sells diesel parts and accessories.... I ordered the standpipe kit and accidentally ordered an extra set of dummy plugs, and with shipping it was 96 bucks and some change, and they got them from Tousley Ford. All packages are all genuine ford parts..... The only complaint I had was they said I would be emailed a tracking number once parts were shipped..... But they never did..... Parts showed up on my front step 7 days after I placed the order.... Just thought I would pass it on because I have never seen any one talk about them
