High pitch turbo noise @ idle only. Once the rpms start to come up over 1200 the noise goes away. It is a very high pitch, constant noise, sort of like a dog whistle. I am hoping it's just a loose connection at the turbo. It's very loud and annoying. Does anyone know what this might be?

 

up pipe bellow may be cracked, or up pipe to turbo clamp lose. sometimes a cracked down pipe where the welds are, end up cracking.

 

Yep, cracked up pipe is my guess, I had the same issue before.

 

You guys got er just took it down to a guy i know with a diesel shop in town and he listened to it and figured it out pretty quick, small crack in the up-pipe, Thanks guys
