Default Im sure it's my fault!!

Couple weeks ago i took ole 6.0 out to play.. Got on her good a few times.. No tunes with 4" exhaust and a cts insight W/pyro to read things.

Well, tires were roasted and we all had a laugh but now it seems to start funny..

almost sounds like batteries are weak sometimes.. Then other times it will kick off the cts as soon as it starts and i will have to unplug the cts and replug when its running to get it to come on. Just has somewhat of a drag to it during crank up.. Another thing is when it is running the ficm ranges anywhere from 45- 48.5v?? should it fluctuate that much while running??
Batteries check out good!!

Appreciate any help here!!

Ford says the FICM needs 45+ V, so technically it's good. When I log mine with Autoenginuity it fluctuates from 47.5 to 48.5V, so it does fluctuate a little.

If you take the CTS right off, does it still start funny? Does it just seem like it cranks longer than usual? Does it start funny both hot and cold?

Yes, both hot and cold..

I have yet to unplug the cts for a period of time to see if thats causing a drag but i cant see how it would be.. Everything was just fine until i got a wild hair and decided to take the truck out on a dance..

I'd still try it and see, it's easy enough. This would not be the first case I've heard of an EDGE product doing funny things like this.

I hear ya!! Went with this instead of gauges because of the room issue but if this is causing the chaos then you will be seeing a cts up on the sale block!!
