Ok so when I got my 2005 6.0L Powerstoke the previous owner had an Edge Tuner installed and there is a single toggle switch ran into the cab from it. Everything is still disconnected from the battery so its not working right now. I'm just wondering what I would need to get it working so I can tune my truck or should I just start from scratch and buy a new tuner? And is Edge Tuners a decent brand or should I go another way?

 

Sell it and go with custom tuning from an SCT.

IMHO SCT is the only way to go on the 6.0L

 

I have a 2005 6.0 and am getting studs and egr delete done next week. I have a Diablo 60hp tune in it right now. I was thinking of getting an Edge CTS monitor with pyro installed and was wondering if I should get the one with Edge tunes in it or just use the CTS for a monitor and get SCT for tunes. Are the custom tunes from IDP that much better to justify the extra cost?

 

Yes. Get custom tunes. SCT with custom tunes is the only way to tune your transmission, so think about that when choosing tunes.

I haven't seen any dynos to prove anything higher than the SCT's either.
