A day should be no issue.

Ok for the horsepower and torque question. Thanks and Mdub707, I wasn't thinking on that one with the fuel pressure gauge. Guess I made an out of myself. So I'm guessing I can't run those tunes then or get an air dog fuel pump or something on that order if I see the fuel pressure is really down there.
Oh, and for the gauge install time. You should be fine with one day, that is what it took me with four gauges. Didn't go to bad, it's just a lot of wires.

You can run the tunes, just be sensible about it until you get gauges. I would HIGHLY recommend getting at least a fuel pressure gauge, and probably a pyro too as soon as you can however.

You'd need the pyro sender extra to match up with it, but yes you can use that as your gauge.

What kind of mileage are we talking, 15-17 town and 19-21 hwy? I am getting 12-14 and 16-18 and all I have is K&N cold air.

First, you couldn't pay me enoug money to run a K&N on anything.

Mileage, I get 15 everywhere. Let me break this down for you. I ordered the SCT through Eric @ Innovative. Got economy, tow tune, and extreme street.

I load up economy and try to get the best mileage I can squeeze out of this pig. I fill tank til I can see fuel in the filler neck. I drive the truck for the entire tank under these conditions: Not going over 2k rpms, and trying as hard as I can to stay under 10lbs of boost. Go drive your truck and tell me how easy this is... it's NOT. Run the whole tank this way. Fill up til I see fuel in the neck again, take average. 15.1mpg.

I load up extreme street and fill the tank up again, fuel in the neck. I proceed to drive like a teenager hopped up on redbulls for an entire tank. Wow, this is a LOT more fun to drive! I don't care how much mileage I lose doing this, I'm not going back, this tune ROCKS! My tires hate me, my truck sounds sweet, I can outrun almost anything at the stop light... awesome! Run the whole tank down, fill up til I see fuel in the neck again and take average. 15.3mpg.

Guess which tune I started daily driving?

The hotter tunes get the best mileage, IF you can keep your foot out of it. And apparently the same mileage even if you romp on it all the time.

That was all 100% bone stock truck, minus programmer. Had stock intake, stock exhaust with cat and muffler.

I now run an AFE stage 1 intake, zoodad mod, 4" turbo back into the stacks (see sig pic), and assorted tunes, but no economy tune here. Been running some milder street tunes, and have been very happy with the drivability. The race tunes will get the best mileage due to the torque converter lockups, but I am not running them on the street anymore, I don't have the self control for it., I've already destroyed one torque converter, trying to make this one last. I'm currently running a GoGo race tune with stock lockup. I like it a lot. I bet mileage has improved, but hard to tell running the vegistroke, I only use a few gallons of diesel a week, and I drive more than 60 miles roundtrip for work each day.

K&N came with the truck when I bought it. If it's that bad I'll switch it. I have been driving Ms Daisy for now to see what I can get. Sounds like I'll do the extreme street, street for towing since for now my towing doesn't exceed 10K and it has better torque than the tow tune - but I'll talk to Eric about that, and extreme race.
