Where is oil sending unit in 03 Ford 6.0?
I have a 2003 Ford F-350 6.0 and the Ford dealership recommended I replace the oil sending unit after I took it in to be diagnosed because I was experiencing extremely hard starts, blue and white smoke when it would start/run and bucking and jerking until it warmed up.
I bought the sending unit. Now where is it located? And, do you think this will solve the problem?
I already have my FICM out for repair (It read 47, then dropped to 17 when I cranked the motor). Also during the diagnostics they recommended new batteries and a new alternator. Those are taken care of as well.

regardless of whats wrong with the truck i bought the switch and would like to know where to put it now, i kinda figured i didnt need it but with everything else thats gone wrong with this truck i figured it couldnt hurt to replace one more part. the part number is SW-5267, F81Z-9278-AA. the exact term from a ford dealer was "replace oil sending unit" and then 1 hr labor so i figure it cant be too difficult to do. the motorcraft box calls it a switch but whatever the case here it is, thanks for any help guys.

I thought this problem was the injectors too until i read a bunch of forums which steered me toward the ficm. I had the injectors replaced about 80k ago, along with pretty much the whole engine with the exception of the block. anyway, wouldnt the diagnostics test say if the injectors were failing? dont know if it matters but the truck now has 201k on it, i pull a heavy trailer to work everyday for the past 6 years with it and take good care of it how long do injectors normally last?
