Wait a minute here!!
Your telling me you can get the heads off with the cab still on??
I've been told that:
1). remove motor
2). remove cab
3). one for one (remove bolt replace w/ stud)
I personally would'nt do #3 but i don't have a lift to remove the cab.. When i priced out having it done for me from a few shops they were in the 4500.00 range but that also included a egr delete..
So is there a way i can do this in my own shop and do it right??

Yes, doing it in cab will be more time consuming, but by all means this CAN and HAS been done.
The one for one method you mentioned is a waste of time IMO.
The other two methods are options as well.
