Default good deal?

I have a guy that wants to trade me a 2005 f250 xlt ext. cab long bed 4x4 177k mi no mods. I'll have 14000 in it when all said and done. What do I need to check on the truck to make sure I don't get hosed? Is it a good deal? Cheers!

I'm not sure I would... Has it had head studs installed? EGR deleted?

Take some time to look over some of the sticky's at the top of this section. Lots of good info.

Eh that's not a steal by any means. My buddy bought his 05 CC/LB Lariat with around the same miles for $13k two summers ago. That's average price. Run an oasis on it. Usually if you find a high mileage 6.0, they've been kept stock and don't have too many issues.

What Mdub says.. get an Oasis here for FREE

Ford Oasis requests - TheDieselGarage.com

I just bought an 07 with 53k miles last year for 19.2k.

Need to stat that if you do the Oasis report from the link above that it may take a few days to a couple of weeks ot get it. The people who do this do it on thier own time and cannot always be there. SO be patient. It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get mine. And its alot better then Carfax.. Carfax left ALOT out.

My buddy got 18k for his 05 crew cab short bed lariat with 6" lift and 37's on it, had around 85k miles. A DEALER bought it off of him for that price too.... they obviously had someone else they were going to sell it to, to buy it outright like that, but we both thought that was pretty fair for him to get.

07 F350 Crewed LB 4x4 XLT with 53k miles. Bought it for $19,260 cash. Truck was complete stock. didnt have sidesteps and tires were the original Continentals. And they were bald. . But it was a deal that I couldnt pass up.
