Sticking injectors? I would like to know more about the blue smoke, mine smokes a little blue at first and feels like it loses a little power for a second or two then clears up and runs great. Its been doing this for a while. Something to be worried about?

blue smoke and often gray smoke are both signs of incomplete combustion when the truck is first turned on. If you have smoke after the truck is warmed up that's other issues, but lets tackle these first.

Usually when you have smoke on start up on a 6.0, you're looking at one or more failing injectors and/or a failing FICM. The FICM is easy as pie to test with a buddy and a multimeter, ANYONE can do that. I would start there, it's easy and quick, and will eliminate it if it's fine. After that, if it checks out ok, I'd get it hooked up to scanner and check injectors with a cylinder contribution test, and also have the glow plugs checked.

If anyone needs help with the FICM's, PM me, I fix them now.

Sticking injectors? You can cover it up with some Rev-X. The only fix is to replace.

Just because the FICM is less than a year old doens't mean it's still good. Easy to test, and can be fixed pretty easy too.

If you've ever had one apart and checked the solder joints, it's a wonder they last as long as they do. There is almost NO solder on there.
