boost pressure
Stock tuning 22-24psi is usually right. How is the truck running? Are you sure all of your connections to the turbo are tight? Usually the up-pipes are a pain in the a$$ to get right on the first try when reinstalling the turbo.
That is what stock gives 22 24 psi until the plastic coupling came off (LOL) the turbo
had sticky vaines and only got about 15lbs of boost. Ford cleaned the turbo/vains and it went to 29 to about 32 . Thats gettign on the gas up to about 80 mph. Now its back down to about 24 to 28 max. It always just tips under the 30 mark. Could be faulty guage? I dont know..
I can hit 29 on stock tuning now, not sure what has changed with my truck. If I roll in I can almost touch 30, but if you just flat foot it, 22ish. As long as the truck is running ok, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just because the boost gauge isn't in the same spot doesn't mean the truck isn't running ok.
On my looney tune, I can actually max out my 35psi gauge if I roll into it just right going uphill.
How are you for fuel? Adequate pressure? When's the last time the filters were changed? You can't spool a turbo without fuel!
I'd also check over all of your intercooler boots with a fine tooth comb.
