Throttle postion switch? Or possible vanes stuck in turbo? Had a similar problem wiht my truck. Turbo spooled to 30 sometimes and otehrs to less then 10. Also found that my TPS was going south. It would take 5 miles to get upto speed ( 65 mph) it seemed. Oh and it didnt throw a code for the TPS.

What was your fuel pressure and are you checking it while driving, not just idling in the driveway?

No boost gauge? What's it reading? Hard to say without some diagnosis here. When's the last time the oil was changed or the fuel filters? When's the last time the EGR valve was looked at on it?

did you check the boots on the cooler tubes, they can and will pop off or even split, did this happen suddenly or has it been getting worse over time

Egr valve was checked yesterday and it was clean, the oil filters are a month old and the fuel filter is about week and half old. I don't have boost gauge so Idk about the boost. This happened suddenly and that's what's got me stumped,I checked all the common things
