Default 6.0 no power and stalling

well in my epic battle with my truck i noticed very poor acceleration on my way home from work. it got to the point where i was pressing the gas pedal several times and nothing was happening at all. then it stalled out on me tried to start it back up again but to no avail. any ideas what it could be right now i have to down to the egr valve or bad fuel filters.

Both are easy to look at. I'd check to see if I'm getting fuel at top filter bowl with good pressure. I would pull the cap off check to see if fuel is in it. Then turn the key on to see if it is filling up at a good rate. If so, pull the egr valve out and clean the crud off of it and make sure the plunger valve at the bottom will move up and down with pressure applied.

With this little info I would guess at a fuel pump or filters. When were the filters last changed? A plugged air filter can do this. EGR usually will not do this. Will it start and idle? If it is a power issue at upper end it may also be stuck turbo vanes. Does it smoke? What ever you do,do not throw parts at your problem. Test, verify, repair or replace.

Truer words were never spoken. I always hate seeing someone just throwing parts (money) at a truck only to never get it fixed, then they'll be the first one's on here complainging about how much money they spent and it still doesn't run right.... well no ****
