Default Check engine light with sct programer

I get a check engine light on if I use any of the tunes with my sct but when I check the codes it said that there were none found? Also if it is cold out (< 30) my truck has a very hard time starting ( won't turn over and sounds like it only has 1 cylinder ) if I have a tune on. But it fine on stock. What gives?

Have you tried just clearing the code with the SCT with the tunes still installed? Are you using custom tunes? Who's tunes if you are? Are they for your strategy?

I clear the code and it comes back every time I turn off the truck. I am using custom tunes but i don't know where they came from ( I bought the sct used). But I get the light even with the canned tunes. How do I know if it is for my strategy?

My guess is it's not. The chances of getting someone elses tunes and having them be the same strategy, is VERY SLIM. I've heard of people buying used SCT's and loading tunes up and come to find out they were made for a gas powered mustang or some nonsense. If you plug the SCT into your truck, go to "vehicle info" and then to "read strategy" and get that code. You will need that code to get tunes wrote for your truck. Call up a tuner and order some tunes for YOUR truck!

What are the codes just out of curiosity?

My guess is you don't even have 6.0 tunes on that thing, but who knows.

The codes that are being thrown are p0000 and p0004. The tunes are for a 6.0 the last guy said he used it on his for over a year.

P0000
No Self Diagnostic Failure Indicated

P0004 Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit High

When you get P0000 you shouldn't get any other codes, so that's odd. My guess is still an issue with the programmer. I'd try calling one of the tuners and see what they say about it, I bet you just need new tunes. You should get new tunes anyways since they're NOT for your truck.

I don't get the same code every time sometimes the light comes on and It says no code found. And that is even with the canned tunes.

Call Eric @ Innovative and ask him about it, or call someone at SCT. This is not a common problem at all, and I'm not sure how much they'll even be able to help you since you're not using tunes for your truck...

Yes, start with tunes for your own vehicle otherwise you may be chasing your tail.
