Goose what oil you use? I have a few oil analysis reports from when I ran Amsoil, I think I had reports up to 12k miles, then never got a report back from whoever it was that Amsoil used for analysis so stopped paying for it. They told me it was OK to run, but I got skeered and ditched it. Got to expensive anyways... now I run regular 15w-40 rotella and change it 3k miles.

 

I ran MC 15w40 until the Rotella 10w30 came out. ( I was using it before the bandwagon came by). It seems better to me and for pretty much the same price as the MC. I change my oil when by the feel of my truck. MC was at about ~3,000 miles and the Rotella is about ~4,000.

 

I'm only doing 3k miles cause of the vegistroke, just helps catch problems early if something comes up. That Rotella you're talking about is synthetic right?

I run T6 syn myself

 

It is a blend.

 

I use Motorcraft 15-40 diesel oil with anti foam. I change every 4000 miles. It starts hard in winter but purrs like a kitten at 80 mph.
