What failed on the 2? I'm not calling you a liar either, I'm just as curious as the next guy to learn about them. Following the boards though, they seem to be holding up ridiculously well for a brand new platform...

500hp is basically right around the corner. I'd be willing to bet some of them are around that now with tuning. I don't think it will be like the 6.4 though and obtain big power out of the box. They're going to run out of air real fast with that dinky turbo on there. 475hp seems to be the magic number where they just don't have any more air though... H&S has their truck into the 13's now on spray, I'm sure it will improve more as time goes on though.

:hellox: i know three guy's with the 6.7's and two of them tow horse trailers outta state evey weekend. No problems so far. Those are both cc dualy's. My friend has an extended cab and ran it at the diesel nationals with 400 miles on it and ran 16.2-16.5 thats pretty damn good for stock there were cummins with mods runnin 18's

Egr cooler(s) on the one, didn't really see the aftermath, just he did alot of driving to get where he was to somewhere where it could be towed and that pretty much wasn't good for it at all, the other one broke a crank, on completely stock tuning, not saying i wouldn't have one of the trucks cause they seem awesome, can't wait til someone figures out a different turbo setup

I must say I am impressed with how the new setup is holding together. Not only is it a new product but it is a whole new design (as far as I know, but I could be wrong, I personally haven't known an engine with the inverted heads like on the 6.7) It has already been said, of course it will have it's inherent problems, if there were none then there would be no reason to buy anything else right, but as always with a new setup, some people are gonna get pissed off because their truck is one of the unlucky ones that breaks. Once any kinks are worked out I feel that it will be a strong and long life engine. :choochoo:

well really the 6.0 is not all that its the 7.3 that u want but if the truck was like this when u got it they should cover it an all thee repairs an cost;;;thats if it had the wrrt....tho....but if not u can get a lawyer an start a case ........even tho im a ford person an like there trucks ..thats still money thats out yo pocket an your family costs to get back home but just c what there going to do ..

the inverted heads are nothing new, maybe to the pickup engine industry, but CAT has been using it on heavy duty engines for decades, have two 398 CAT V-12's that are probably older than alot of people I know and I think it's a great idea, but definitely not new, the 4.5L Duramax that never was used this technology, it's just they decided to go bankrupt and it was never put into production, but it is and was an awesome design just like the new Ford's have

one thing bad i can say about the duramax is they hold up ok but u cant run them a max all they an hard without blowen injectors

I haven't seen any problems with the Dodge 6.7 auto and towing heavy. I have 3 friends with 1 just turned 200,000 miles and the other 2 have over 300,000 miles last I heard and they haven't had any motor or tranny problems. But then they are only pulling 36 foot tripple axil cattle trailers

My self I pull a 32 foot cattle trailer a 36 foot flatbed and I have 2 450 bushel gooseneck grain trailers. I average 38 to 42 thousand pounds. So far I haven't had any trouble but I only have 13K on my truck but transmission seems to handel the load quite well.

Our 05 F-350 on the other hand with 55K we don't even hook to a trailer anymore. This truck has such low miles because we can't tow with it.

I test drove a new 6.7 Ford before I bought my new Dodge in august. The ford is nice finaly got rid of the 2 minute turbo lag :choochoo: I talked to a couple owners of the new power stroke there towing mileage wasn't impressive at all. I even asked a guy when I was filling up my 06 dodge (he had a new 11 powerstoke pulling a flatbed) what he was getting for mileage he showed me his mileage display 7.8 and had over 6000 miles on the truck. My 2010 has never been under 9 pulling. Plus I don't need urea.

it's only getting deep cause no one will just admit they're all good or they're all junk, and i'm not a huge fan of Diesel Power Mag, but I think the towing test speaks volumes for the new duramax vs powerstroke, they didn't even include dodge, because dodge is so far behind the other two it's not even funny, but before we get all brand loyal that duramax beat the new ford up the hill by over a minute consistently and needed one brake input going down the hill vs 14 inputs for the ford, looks like GM did their homework this time guys
