I was simply agreeing with you about the Dodge. I am a Ford owner, simply because at the time this was the only decent diesel I could find with a straight axle still. If I could have got an LBZ with a straight axle, I'd be driving that truck instead of this, trust me! Yes Ford lost, Chevy won. If I raced you in a foot race, but you had one hand tied to one of your feet, would you still say I won without question? Kind of the point I was getting at here... It seems all too coincidental... why would anyone run a test like this at 11k feet? How often do you guys tow at 11k feet, and do you normally start at the bottom of a hill and just flat foot it to the top? Either way it's a moot point. Chevy won this test. :c:

Update on the original post:
After the ford shop wanted 13K for the 6.0l swap my parents really did not want to step into the same engine that could have the same or other problems. My parents are retired and don't want any problems and since the old truck was outta warranty they just decided to get rid of the truck. They traded it in at the same dealership and purchased a 2011 Ford F350 Crew cab dually King Ranch 4x4 with all the warrantys bells and wistles. Ford gave them 10k in trade for the old truck and after it was all said and done they walked out the door with a 46K truck. Big price to pay but now the problems are behind them cause they got the full extra warranties ect... They towed their 5th wheel home and got 16 miles per gallon towing 15k lb trailer. The 6.0l got 11 mpg when they drove down. I drove the truck and was amazed at the amount of power right off the line and how quiet it is and how much more comfortable it is as far as ride quality and such. Hope the 6.7l is a good platform and they have no problems. Thanks for all the helpfull information and hopefully this ends the skewed posts.:tu:

Glad to hear they got it all sorted out, I'm sure they'll be really happy with their new purchase. Get some pics up, sounds like a nice truck!
