I know a guy who doesn't know how to spell or use proper grammar, and really doesn't know anything about 6.0's. It's you. Bullydog = Crap for 6.0's. I bet his transmission shifts just wonderful too.

sounds like they're having great luck with their Ford product and being treated fairly by the dealer, great idea, lets support a company that is trying to screw us over and stick us with a 13,000 bill for an engine you can hardly give away. I agree the new 6.7's are impressive and the 6.4 would be my engine/truck of choice right now, but if any company treated me like they're getting treated i'd go buy one of the other 2 and let it play out from there

You'd buy a 6.4 after all the stuff you said about the 6.0? They're almost identical minus an ugpraded EGR setup on the 6.4 and a better fuel system. They still use the same crappy head design and 4 bolts per cylinder.

It's also hard to blame FoMoCo for what some of their dealers do, but I get what you're saying.

yeah I would, cause that same crappy head design seems to be holding up to 50+ psi of boost and just seems to be an amazing engine compared to the 6.0, I would even buy a 6.0 just cause I know the inherent risks when doing so, and this whole story sounds kinda weird, and the OP hasn't been back to say anything and it's been 2-3 days now, that's along time in my book to be stuck without a decision

The OP made this post almost a month ago. I'm sure a decision has been made already, or I'd hope so at least... Plus this isn't a typical 6.0 problem. We all know the problems they have and this is NOT one of them.

The headbolts are larger on the 6.4's that's for sure and they do hold a little better, but don't think they don't blow headgaskets either. They also are notorious for cracking all of the exhaust valve seats. Every tuned 6.4 I've heard of that had the heads taken off for whatever reason had every single exhaust valve seat busted. Quite common. It is amazing compared to the 6.0, but what isn't? haha. The 6.7 looks like a really nice platform, but I can't afford one! I'd probably jump into a 6.4 myself if I could get a vegistroke for it...

The main part about the heads being "crappy" is that they just don't flow any air. The same fuel/turbo setup on a 6.4 that is making 600rwhp would make more like 800-1000 on a duramax. It's ridiculous. They just don't breathe. Which is why 6.0/6.4 motors always seem to pick up ridiculous amounts of power when on spray, and they can only be fast on spray.

I have no beef with spray lol, and i've heard of many 6.7's blowing up already, stock power too, I know of 2 of them personally and have heard about at least 4 more, so i think it'd be wise to wait on that engine, and the 2 i know about blew egr coolers and were driven for quite a while like that because they were in the middle of no where, whether the others i've heard about are true or not i don't know, they were ford people that i have heard it from though:humm:

Interesting, I'm on powerstroke.org, the diesel stop and mostly powerstrokenation, haven't heard of one yet. Seems like a great engine so far. I know of a lot more 6.7 Dodges that had FAR more problems than these.

I definitely haven't heard of any EGR cooler failures yet. The only issues I've really heard of is the truck is so quiet guys are hearing the fuel pumps make a weird clicking noise, but it's not even an actual "problem" as it is a complaint. I've read about one guy who supposedly had a transmission failed at about 1200 miles I think, but they replaced it with a new one no questions asked.

like i said I know of 2 failures for sure, saw the trucks first hand, not saying they're bad, but they are a mechanical thing and there are going to be problems, if they were bulletproof there would be no other vehicle on the road, don't really care to get into a pissin match, just stating what i know and people have told me, trust me I'm not a dodge guy despite what you see in my signature, but i will argue my point and not completely bash another product, I will question it when i'm told it's strong as $h!t cause there isn't enough of em out there pumpin 500+ hp yet to make that statement
