what 3 Gauges to go with
#2
I think it all has to do with what you do the most, if you do a lot of towing and have an after fuel system i would go with pry, fuel and trans temp, if you do alot of racing fuel boost and pry, or if its just a daily driver that you tow with when you need to and running the stock pan i would go with boost trans ant pry.

I'd get fuel pressure (#1 most important gauge on any 6.0), then engine oil temp and engine coolant temp. Montioring both of these temps simultaneously is very important so you can see when the oil cooler is becoming clogged, this leads to headgasket failure and egr cooler failure. If you're running a programmer a pyro would be next. A tranny temp gauge is really only necessary if you're towing heavy all the time. I tow a 5k lb camper during the summer through the adirondacks and I've never had my trans break 170 degrees. If you tow heavy and often though, probalby a good idea.

Pyro is important on all diesels.
Fuel Pressure to make sure you dont starve the injectors.
Comparing Oil temp and Coolant Temp will tell you if your oil cooler is still good.
Im doing a write up on my gauge install. Its a simple process but Im trying to do one on every mod i make to my truck. Im just waiting on the adapters to come in.
