Default Gas milage question

Alright I just bought my first rig. From what im seeing from the avg mpg im getting 11.6, I know that i should be getting more than that was wondering what any one had to say. Mods full turbo back with an intake, Im guessing the truck had an SCT scanner/tuner on it cuz he had the badge on the back.

Thats a tuff call! Fuel economy is hard to diagnose. Is your truck an all wheel drive? Have you done the basics, check the Fuel filter. and change the oil every 3-5k miles? Is your air filter dirty? any smoke? if so what color? Have you had the truck scaned for codes? If all those are done try these shops.
Not sure if he is still in busines No limit Diesel 630-913-3500 or Attitude Diesel 2349 E Oakton St, Arlington Hts - (847) 593-0505

Bought my 07 F350 SD 6.0 PS back in March this year. It was getting no more then 12 MPG. Found out the turbo Vanes were sticking and the EGR was plugged. Cleaned the egr and had the Dealership clean the vanes. Did a basic tuneup and now if I can keep it under 70 MPH I get roughly 18 MPG. Anything over 70 and the MPG drops fast. 75 MPH it gets 11 MPG or less.

What's the air filter look like? When were the fuel filters and the oil changed last?

Truck is lifted not to high and im gunna do the PM this weekend clean the air filter and all that good stuff i was wondering becausee i work with a guy who has a 3500 dually duramax and hes getting like 20 to 22 mpg and hes got exhaust and intake to, and i understand its a different truck but i didnt realize it was that big of a differance in gas milage i thought somthing might be wrong. Im probably going to do the egr delete for my first project.

You updated your profile. You have a 6.0 ok well let us know what you find? Go to the stock skinny tires that will get you some economy. get rid of the tailgate or put a tonoe to help controll the air in the back. It might help. Then do some fuel mods.
