I have 06 f-350 king ranch with 6.0, it is currently at the dealer it broke down they are saying I have 3 leaks in the high pressure oil pump and its gonna cost 2k plus to fix? I need some help there is no way I can afford this. I also have an 03 that has a similar problem but its leaking under the engine, the king ranch has no signs of any leaks. I sure could use some advise I am self employed and these are my trucks and livelihood for me to make my living.

Dummy plugs and a failed STC fitting FTW! these are things you can replace yourself for ~$100 if you not afraid to wrench...

 

Hard to say since we have so little info about the truck as well. For whatever it's worth, I've yet to see a 6.0 in person that didn't have the "wet bellhousing" soaked in oil. I've heard claims, and I'm sure there are some out there, I just have not seen it...

Give us some details on the truck in question. Miles, what it's used for and how often, any mods, what happened that it ended up at the dealer, how was it driving before, was this sudden or slowly happened over time???? Any check engine lights?

 

a brand new hpop is 550 at cost for most shops. before you have them do the work take it to a different diesel shop and have them get u a quote. all in all the work to replace the hpop should run u 1200 to 1500 depending on the shop and how nice they are that day.

if the trucks out of warranty TAKE IT SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THE DEALER FOR A QUOTE...i cant say that enough...dealer wanted 6500 to do my hg job and i got it done for 4500 (ya expensive but the best i could find)
