With a diesel your going to smell it no matter what. I have both my cat and muff on still and always smell the exhaust. So i dont think it would matter. Just the loudness is what would make the cops pull you over and ticket ya.

Smell? The cat and muffler don't stop the smell from coming out!? The cats on these trucks are not like your typical cat on a car, take it off and look at it, you can see right through it. It's like wire mesh in there, pretty useless.

Only problems I've had with my exhaust were cops out here in Kansas pulling me over cause they were jealous! 4 inch turbo back into 5" Colorado Rock Stacks make that motor singgggggggggg! And its real quiet on the highway in the 70-75 range!
