Whargoul is only here on DB to start fights. Please just ignore the troll.

I will not argue, an OEM Ford air filter is the BEST as far as filtration goes. However, Whargoul must have forgot he's on a site dedicated to the modifications of diesel pick ups, typically in the sense where we gain power. The stock system isn't going to support the HP goals most are reaching for unfortunately, so we put different filters on.

I dislike International engines and Fords, but the 6.0's air filter system is one of the best. Period.
Dude the best thing you can do for a 6.0 is let it breath and the stock filter is not enough

The general internet rule of thumb has always been that the stock filter will support up to 500rwhp.... though I'm not so sure I believe it anymore. It IS a great filtration setup, no doubt. I really like my AFE dry filter setup though.
