oil temps
My oil temps run about 195 to 210 and the bullydog pmt pops up and says defueling oil. My ? is ,how high is to high for the oil temps. and do I need to rest the default to a little higher temperture setting. I dont know alot about these things so any help would be great. Thanks
oil temp is not suposed to exceed 15 degrees more then coolant temp... my oil cooler is bad so mine is runnin around 230 and coolant is always 189-195.... so ur temps sound good to me but thats just my opinion
Those temps sound safe to me. Oil temp VS. Coolant temp is more important not so much the single number. The truck will beep and flash some warning lights at you when oil temp gets too high. I've done it before. I'd set the PMT higher, or just get an SCT and not worry about that!
