There is an EGR cooler, but you only need to replace it if it has failed. It's just basically like a radiator inside a tube. If it cracks, you will have white smoke because you'll be burning coolant, if you dont, then dont touch it. What are the exact codes? Any mods? How many miles? Any smoke at all and if so what color?
