Purple/White Smoke???
As i was cruising around town today i noticed that if I am stopped at a light when i leave some purple and white smoke blow out of the pipe but only for a second or two then if i put my foot in it it blows black smoke as usual. Hoping this isn't an early sign of blown head gaskets just want some feedback from what you guys think this might be. Thanks

Look on your cold side intercooler hose n c if there is any oil on it if so it pulling oil out of your crankcase vent it is normal if u have over 100,000 thousands miles mine does the same thing but u can stop it from pullin oil through n bout 5 minutes if this is your problem lemme knw n I'll tell u how

All of these trucks have oil on the intercooler tubes,it's because the crank case vents into the intake right in front of the turbo. Nothing to worry about, but it shouldn't make your truck smoke. You can do a crank case vent "mod" to make it vent to the atmosphere instead of into your intake, but that wont stop it from smoking.
Purple smoke? That's a new one to me!

yeah Ive never seen purple smoke come out of a diesel that ive owned. It seems to clear up right away tho if im stopped and then start accelerating it huffs purple smoke for only a few seconds then all is fine it only smokes purple when i start moving. Im taking it in to a local diesel performance shop to get the EGR deleted soon so I'll get them to take a look at what that might possibly be as well
