I too would guess high pressure oil system too.

Also I asked about headbolts because every stock 6.0 on the planet has heabolts... that's factory....

Headstuds are what the improvement would be.

Forgive me for being a dumba**, thats what I meant to say. Had the studs put in when the gasket blew. For right now, I guess I just bide my time and see if it will go out all the way then take back and make them fix it. Thanks for the info/ advice. Will keep posted with new info when I get it.

Will the 6 gun show ICP? When it doesn't start I bet the ICP is below 500 do to a HPO leak. You should keep hounding them on the issue. It will break on you at the most inopportune time.

Yeah, like on a 400 mile trip with the hauler in tow and family to boot, and most likely out of cell coverage, on an uphill grade and loads of traffic behind me. I have probably just sealed my own fate with that one.

Well folks, just an update. Had the truck out of the shop for a week now and (knock on wood), no repeat of the previous issues. Banks rep is supposed to take a look at the 6 gun tomorrow, so I will see if that is the culprit. Having done alot of reading to this point, I am seriously considering scrapping the Banks (came installed on the truck when I bought it) and using any sell funds to purchase the SCT with custom tunes. Think I will have to wait for the extended warranty to go away before I can do an EGR delete. Still thinking about other mods, but for now that is all I got.

Sounds like a good call. As much as I am not a fan of the banks programmers, I still find it hard to believe that was your problem, but I suppose it's possible. SCT with custom tunes is definitely the way to go brotha!

I said the same thing about EGR deletes, then I told myself, doing the delete will only help the truck live longer, and will probalby aid in keeping my truck out of the shop all together, and save me the stupid $100 warranty deductibles... I'm just gonna go ahead and do it anyways.

I have 07 F350
May a year ago the truck was stolen and the interior was stripped and left by the side of the road running, Oh yea the used a chisel to smash the ing switch and when punching the door lock would not get them in they bust out the rear slider. 7 months the truck sat at Ford waiting for parts. Back to the point of the thread. When I got it back it was a hard starter, 8-10 seconds when cold 6 months went by before I took it in for a laundry list of things to repair, on a Thursday, Friday afternoon I get the call they need a few more days to finish. Get it back on Wed service included the water sensor and a fuel filter. Friday its running rough back to Ford Monday, Wed I get it back they replaced the ....ICM I think still 8 second start. Friday running ruff at the shop after work head for Ford I can't get over 20 mph the last 5 miles limping to Ford. 1 mile short of the dealer in quits and I coast to the side and call for a tow. Fuel pump went bad get back on Wed again. Are you starting to see a pattern yet? When I pick it up still 8 second crank but it runs good. Friday the motor has a shutter back to Ford Monday the call I got a injector out. Get it back Wed runs good starts in 6 seconds, Friday Oh yea I can feel another injector has gone out. Pick it up Wed runs good 6 seconds to start cold come friday I realy hated to but you gotta go ...........to work at last a friday an no breakdown thats once. Come the following Friday its got a shake in it that is so bad keys jump out of the cup holder. D*mm back to Ford, pick it up Wed they found a "small"High pressure oil leak that they repaired Oh yea another injector. This baby is BAD now is starts faster than a lot of gas motors I have had, 1- 1.5 seconds cold start mileage was up to 19+ running back and forth on the highway 45-55 mph today. A bud is borrowing it on Thursday I wonder should I tell him about the Friday thing?

You are a very patient person. After my truck left me stranded twice I contemplated selling it!

Well folks, as it has been over a month since the Banks was disconnected, I have yet to have had a recurring problem with the truck. So as far as I am concerned the Banks comes off for good and new tuner will be in the works. Just thought that I would throw that update out there.
