OIL LEAK??
#11
Where did you hear that? I had an oil drip for over a month. I took it to a local Ford Tech guy and he couldn't find the source so i let him take it home. Took him two more days and some calling tech support. Ford eventually had the whole oil cooler replaced. They tried to just replace it with the oil cooler kit but that did not completely stop the drip. So a whole cooler kit was replaced.
I was told that by a certified master diesel technician on powerstroke.org

Well if you have an interlock driveway and your truck drips once an hour and leaves a spot on the stone over a year that spot will be big. I don't think any aut manufacture expect there customer to have a big oil stain in there drive by there car or truck. I have heard people say that small leaks/drips from these engines are common but in my book, when you pay the money we spend on these trucks, any fluid that is put in the engine should be in the engine or burnt. Not on the ground leaving a stain. Just my two cents.

I am in no way disagreeing. I will say my bellhousing is wet, but it never drips... I don't leave a spot anywhere. I think this is what most of them are like. IF it was indeed dripping that bad, I would demand it be fixed. Right now, it's not enough of a leak to justify having my entire engine removed from the truck to have it fixed. I just don't trust the techs in my area that much.
