Swamps Diesel Hot FICM Tests - TheDieselGarage.com

I'd explain it myself but it's just too muc so here's the link
I'm going to have to go ahead and read through that whole thread at some point. Seems that they figured out how to do the 58v by themselves at home, without sending it anywhere...

i would not suggest doing it yourself unless your highly advanced in electronics and soldering

Nonsense!

I actually used to assemble small electronics parts for space flight and military use, so I think I can handle it... maybe.

I wouldn't call it "highly advanced" in electronics though haha. I can however get my hands on some of the best solders on the planet.

the 58 volts add about 30 hp some how so they told me. as for do it myself my electrical abliltys end at pluging in cords and soldering wires together. as for changing things around to increase or decrease,i have no clue.

It seems that's about on par with PHP FICM tuning too. I believe someone said the race FICM tuning from Innovative was closer to 70hp, but remember guys I dont believe this is peak HP, most of it is lower in the RPM range, which is why guys are claiming much better throttle response.

I would really like to see someone dyno and test drive all of the different FICM options out there.

You probably already know this but just incase i'm gonna throw it out there... there's a difference between tuning the FICM and changing the voltage to 58v. PHP and innovative put a tune on YOUR FICM, but the swamps FICM is one they build with better electrical parts and up the voltage. There's a difference in the 2. You can also have a 58v FICM built and then also have it tuned too. which i believe is where i'm headed next with mine. After gettin everything back together after installing my 58v and driving it, wow it's great. The truck is running amazing and i havn't had any problems with it so far(knock on wood) except my Edge is pulling up an FICM code but that because i'm pushing more volts than normal i'm told and everything seems fine so i can live with that code being there. And yes MDUB DYNO results for a stock FICM, then a 58V, Then a stock tuned FICM, and a 58V tuned FICM would be very interesting!

Hock how did you come across this other company and could you give me some more info on this FICM or the company possibly? i've never heard of them.

PHP doesn't really offer any performance gains with their tuning, they just use a combination of 03 and 05 strategies for the FICM. Innovative offers three different levels of tuning. It's all just preference. Most have agreed you should just get the FICM tuning from the same person who tuned your SCT... so they will work together.
