Default 03 6.0 cranks but no start

my 03 f-550 6.0 all of a sudden won't start. it cranks ok, and has good battery voltage. it has a new icp sensor, with good readings, about 1.2 volts while cranking, it needs a minimum of .8 or .9v to start. so this leads me to believe my hpop is ok. also i checked the ficm, i have 47.2v with key on and it calls for a minimum of 45v. the fuel filters are new as is the fuel pump/filter assy(stripped drain plug). it sounds like there is a suction at the little filter when pump runs. it did this before and after i changed filters and pump. i have looked for cracks in the cap with a magnifying glass, nothing that i can see. i've seen threads on here about cracked caps, but no updates on what happened. i'm thinking it's a fuel issue. if anyone has any ideas i'd really appreciate the help. thanks, ron

Take the secondary fuel filter out of the bowl and turn the key to make sure you're getting fuel up to that point.

i just retested to make sure there was fuel to the secondary filter bowl.. i drained it and then turned key on. it filled up but with tons of bubbles, so i'm thinking there has to a leak somewhere.

Sure sounds like it. Did you change filters recently? I've heard of the frame mounted unit giving troubles not seating properly. Some guys said you'd never notice it unless you had a fuel pressure gauge though. I'd pop that off, make sure the filter is properly seated, and put some oil on the rubber o-ring to make it go on easier and try reseating it. Couldn't hurt.

Stupid question but have to ask... you do have fuel in the tank right?

i filled the tank because i thought i might have a leak on the pickup tube in the tank. when the pump runs and then turns off i hear bubbles at the tank. i took the breather out of the tank, and i see bubbles. the fuel pump, filter and cap are new. i can't figure out where it could be sucking air.

That system runs on a high pressure oil pump to open the injectors. And when was the last time you changed the oil. I just replace my injector regulator for the same problem but I could spray into the intake to start. Just wont stay running .

My rig was cranking not starting and getting fuel, it was a little 10A f'in fuse between the two stacks of 3 relays in the interior fuse panel! I even bought an FICM due to the code.
