Default Programmer Question?

I just recently installed the BullyDog TripleDog programer and an 5" MBRP turboback exaust system. The truck runs and sounds great but i have a concern on the life of my motor. Ive been talking to people about the programmer and they have been telling me that it will cut the life of my motor in half and the tranny will go out. Im currently running the programmer on "Performance" and the tranny setting on "smooth". So i was just wondering what you guys think..thanks for all the help!!!

Drive to the Pacific and see how far that Bully Dog can be thrown. Go buy a SCT with custom tunes. It's better than Sex Panther!

Bullydog are good for duramaxes. I would try to sell it and buy an sct from innovative diesel, loaded with custom tunes. They customize your settings for what you have done. But most of all, They put in saftey parameters to ensure your rig is safe and sound. But I know guys that top 500,000 with turners installed since mile one. It all depends on your driving habits. If you are always on the skinny then like anything it will give out.

Bullydog will kill your transmission in a 6.0 quick, running on performance settings and beating on it. A custom tuned SCT will offer the best power and the most reliability.

You can order the tuner directly from most of the tuners. For example, I bought mine from Eric @ Innovative Diesel. You can go to his website, purchase the tuner, then he'll call you and ask what tunes you want and he'll talk through everything with you about setting it up for your truck and your needs.

There are other tuners out there, IMO Eric is the best. I've heard good things from others as well.
