6.0 wierd noise

Default 6.0 wierd noise

Anytime you push or let of the throttle it has a wierd whistle and I cant seem to figure out what it is it is definitly not turbo wine it start out only happening a couple times but now it is all the time.Any advise woould be great thanks

mine did that and it was the head gaskets. pressure coming out of degas cap.

The noise could also be a cracked ypipe, if you stand outside the truck and start it does it sound normal for the fist few seconds and then you hear the hiss come from under the hood?? that is what mine did and it was the y pipe that feeds the turbo, open the hood and see if you smell diesel exhaust, mine was pretty strong. No i dont smell any exhaust under the hood and there is no noise at all when its idleing it is only between 10 and 20 psi of boost

Sounds like you might have a split CAC tube or intercooler leaking, if it's only happening at higher boost.

well it ended up being a head gasket and now trading it in on the 6.4 thanx for the help
